Topic: The Conversion Approval Thread.

As we all know, Privateer press has some fairly strict rules regarding conversions and proxies. However, the tournament organisers have a fair amount of discretion when it comes to what's  allowed. So I thought I'd start this thread so people can post their conversions and plans so that they can be publicly approved/disallowed.

For a start, I used to have a nicely converted PAsphyxious that I miss very much.  I plan to do a very similar conversion, only using Epic Asphyxious as the base.

The scythe is from a Heresy miniatures fallen one, the wings from the now OOP confrontation morbid angel.  I also plan to put the "swirly souls" base to use on my objective markers and just have him on his long skirt. Thats more for practical reasons than anything else. I never have liked heavy models supported by such thin connections.

I would like to know if this would be allowed before I go to the considerable time, effort, and expense to source, construct and paint this model.

Speaking of objective markers, is it pretty much anything goes or do we have to stict solely to PP parts?

For the avoidance of doubt...

We are going to closely follow PP guidelines regarding conversions, however we will be exerting some discretion as you quite correctly say. I'll get back to you in due course about your personal conversion question.

In the meantime, I need to play against egaspy before the Nationals this weekend, so if you're up for it on Tuesday?

Given that Menite denial and PHaley denial are the only lists I have a "healthy respect" for, why the hell not. It'd be a good workout for both of us. See you tuesday smile

The first rule is that "a majority" of the original model must be used.  In this case, bits from eGaspy must be used.  As long as the final outcome clearly represents eGaspy and you have used eGaspy parts (along with any other bits you want to use) then it should be fine.

The only other issue is this:

"All models used in Privateer Press organized play events must be Privateer Press miniatures from the
WARMACHINE or HORDES ranges. The miniatures must be fully assembled on the appropriately
sized base for which the model was designed. Any non–Privateer Press models, unassembled
miniatures, or inappropriately based models are not permitted."

Basically, its PP stuff or nothing.  We do have the power however in the same document to override these rules as written and for the case of pGaspy above, I see no reason why not to.  As long as the eGaspy is of the same standard and as said uses the parts from eGaspy I have no issue.

Hi can i get a yes/no on my ogrun Bokur conversion. Client to Thor Cy-Bokur rebuilt with scrap jack arms after saving Thor from certain death on the battle field.
