There are several good quality value for money hotels and B & Bs in the area. Over the next week I am going to liaise with them and try to get some preferential rates for everyone, then I'll post up the contact details.

The Pine Lodge Hotel have confirmed discounted rates for tournament players. To see what the hotel is like, and to get your discounted rate follow these steps;-

1. Go to www.pinelodge-hotel.co.uk

2. Enter your arrival date (this is the date you wish to start your stay)

3. Click on "Check availability".

4. Scroll down to the bottom of the page where you will see "Sign In". Click on this box.

5. Enter the account name as MAEL 1 (this must be in UPPER CASE).

6. Enter the password as "Gaming" then follow the instructions.


The rates have been named as "Gaming Single", "Gaming Twin" etc etc. This is a very friendly local hotel offering a personal touch, and is very close to the venue.

I stayed here for a previous tournament and would reccomend it. The breakfast was lovely

i cannot seem to get the MAEL 1 code to work for the Pine Lodge Hotel

I know for a fact it is fully booked for next weekend Gerry. Maybe that's why it doesn't work. Their phone number is 01623 622308 though in case you want to ring them.
