Re: ETC Pre-event stats

I will post up with a few more stats as we get closer to the weekend (like how many DIFFERENT casters have been used by each race, & perhaps very close to the weekend, the most popular caster for each race)

If there are any other stats like this that people would like to see please post here and I'll see what I can do.

Hordes looking particularly under represented.

Re: ETC Pre-event stats

I wouldn't mind knowing how many people decided to take advantage of one of the tiered lists

Re: ETC Pre-event stats

Shows how many people don't like the hordes PDFs. Once the cards come out bet the faction swing will change.

Shows those who are dedicated Hordes players and will use them no mater what, and those that are lazy tongue

Caster breakdowns would be good actually, I wonder how many of those Cryx casters are epic Denny.

I fixed that for you smile

I am a little shocked that Khador are top .. ok by one, but I would have bet a ton of cash it would have been Cryx.  Maybe its becasue people jumped on the MK1 Khador are bent band wagon ... or maybe new players like the look of them.   They have a good solid selection of Warcasters, none stand out as mega-awesome must use only type casters ... which is good as it keeps people on their toes.

Apart from that the numbers don't shock me, except the Retibution ... nice to see more than of them about, as it was a shame there was only 1 at the Masters.

When is the masters and how do we sign up?

Re: ETC Pre-event stats

Although I'm still rather new to warmachine I think the attraction to Khador is in part because they are a nicely straight-foward faction. It's generally quite easy to see good uses for most of the units whilst still having some good tricks. The jacks are rock hard which can dish out significant pain and despite only mediocre MAT and RAT they've plenty of ways of ensuring attacks hit.

Lastly Khador have mostly upfront casters who can take a hit or too without croaking.

Certainly this was my assessment of the faction when I looked at it.

I also think that for this tournament in your face lists appeal more due to the scenarios and only one list. (First time I've ever come across a game where people took more than one list to most tournaments.)

I look forward to the rundown of which casters are being used. (I myself am using Lt [or p] Caine.)

Thats not the worst summary I've ever seen but people are often quick to miss out that all their up-front power is paid for by the fact that on the whole they have less tricks to pump out than other factions and at times have nothing else to rely on than their brute force. For me this is what I love about them anyway because it forces you to get creative and it forces you to HAVE to play more ballsy instead of hiding behind (insert other faction jab here).

Re: ETC Pre-event stats

You do have to be damn creative with Khador, I mean a def 17 boosted attack roll unit with full access to magical sprays is def. lacking in tricks!

No it has just one trick you repeat each turn tongue

Re: ETC Pre-event stats

For all the tricksy forces that you can play, this game just lends itself to smashing face and few do it better than Khador!!

Re: ETC Pre-event stats

No Cygnar or Menoth Theme lists? That's interesting.

Purely for my own amusement, how about number of "pure" lists (i.e., in faction-only, no mercs/minions)?

Re: ETC Pre-event stats

Mine's pure!

Didn't even know I could take Gorman until Mr Dale asked me yesterday if i had taken him.

Who's Gorman?

I considered bringing eStryker's theme list, but my standard army just seemed to have more options - none of the other Cygnar lists would seem to be all that strong...
